DR. George Panos
Dr George Z. Panos is a Specialist in Internal Medicine & Infectious Diseases (MD, PhD, DTM&H(Lon)), FRCP(Lon) Fmr Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Cyprus Medical School & Nicosia General Hospital and holds a Biomedical Electronic Engineer Degree (BSc, CEng, MIET). Trained in Internal Medicine &Infectious Diseases at the 1st University Clinic of the University of Athens Medical School, Laiko General Hospital, Athens. Subsequently worked as a Consultant Specialist Physician / Infectious Diseases & Head of HIV – Special Infections Unit, Penteli General Hospital, Athens. Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor (elected) of Internal Medicine & Infectious Diseases at the University of Patras School of Medicine, Patras University General Hospital. Served as Senior Registrar – Junior Consultant at the Dept. of Infection & Tropical Medicine, Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, UK and as Clinical Research Fellow at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, St. Stephen’s Centre, London. Participated in numerous national & international multicenter studies as principal investigator and participates in more than 139 publications listed on pubmed; has authored several medical manuals and wrote chapters in books. Participates as Editorial panel and is a reviewer for a number of medical and biomedical engineering journals and is involved in the creation of a global electronic Health Record (eHR). Has served, as the Medical Doctor, for the Cyprus Olympic Team 2020, Tokyo, Japan.
