Dr Stelios Pikis

Dr. Stylianos Pikis graduated from the Medical School of the University of Debrecen in Hungary and then obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Public Health from the School of Public Health of the same university.

He specialized in Neurosurgery at the Hadassah Medical Center-Hebrew University Hospital, Jerusalem, Israel, and at the General Hospital “Korgialenio-Benakeio” Hellenic Red Cross in Athens.

He further specialized in the United States in Stereotactic Radiosurgery (C.A.S.T. recognized) at the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Virginia Health System, Charlottesville, USA (7/2020-6/2022). During his specialization, as a member of the radiosurgery team, he participated in hundreds of radiosurgical procedures involving intracranial conditions such as benign and malignant brain tumors, arteriovenous malformations, trigeminal neuralgia, etc.

Currently, Dr. Stylianos Pikis provides specialized medical services in the field of radiosurgery for intracranial conditions and is a member of the radiosurgery team at Mediterraneo Hospital in Athens.

Dr. Stylianos Pikis has co-authored dozens of scientific articles in international journals such as Neuro-oncology, Journal of Neurosurgery, Neurosurgery, and Journal of Neuro-oncology, as well as chapters in books on Stereotactic Radiosurgery and Neurosurgery, such as the 8th edition of Youmans and Winn Neurological Surgery.
